报告题目：A generalization of the Voiculescu theorem for normal

operators in semifinite von Neumann algebras

摘    要：The theory of perturbation of self-adjoint diagonal operators has been studied for at lease one hundred years. The first result for diagonalization for commuting tuples of self-adjoint operators was for commuting pairs given by Berg in 1971. The next leap in the subject was due to the work of Voiculescu in 1979. In this talk, we will extend Voiculescu’s result for normal operators acting on a separable Hilbert space to the setting of von Neumann algebras. We also give an n-tuple of self-joint operators such that it can not be diagonalized modulo a specific norm-ideal.
